The BSc (Hons) in International Business Management provides a strong foundation in business management with an international perspective on contemporary strategic concerns. You can develop your understanding of global business and management while experiencing life in the multicultural heart of Manchester. 

You'll develop a thorough understanding of key topics in international business management, such as market analysis, the role of emerging markets in today's economy, and intercultural business environments and competition. We'll coach you in building confidence in navigating people, finances and projects in a cross-cultural context and developing sought-after skills such as communication, data analysis, time management, teamwork and problem-solving. We'll also emphasise the global need for responsible and sustainable entrepreneurship.

Modules cover areas of communications, marketing, finance, HR and project management to ensure you graduate with the knowledge required to thrive in international businesses. The degree is expertly structured to combine both academic and practical areas of business management, giving you the tools to navigate global companies and international markets successfully. We also aim to help you develop lifelong learning skills so that you can take ownership of your professional development for the future, maximising your potential for success.

Students gain practical knowledge in key areas such as global strategy, international marketing, finance, supply chain management, and cross-cultural leadership. Entry Requirements – Compass Education Partner Universities

Standard 3-Year Degree:

  • Minimum 104 UCAS points

  • Any Level 3 subjects accepted

  • Five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Mathematics

Foundation Year:

  • Minimum 48 UCAS points

  • Provides a supportive pathway to the full degree

Mature Applicants (21+):

  • Considered without standard qualifications if they have 2+ years of relevant work experience

All Applicants Must:

  • Pass an academic interview

  • Demonstrate English proficiency, complete an English assessment on campus, or achieve a Duolingo English Test score of 95+

 

Assessment of Bachelor programmes is continuous and practical rather than based on a single final exam. Typical assessment methods include:

  • Written reports and essays

  • Class presentations

  • Project work and case studies

  • Group assignments

  • Portfolios and reflective journals

  • In-class activities and practical tasks

This course is structured around units or modules, where students are assessed as they complete each topic — often through a combination of assignments and project work rather than only exams.
