The BSc (Hons) Applied Business and Psychology programme blends the study of human behaviour with practical business skills, preparing students to understand, influence, and lead in organisational and commercial settings. The BSc (Hons) Applied Business and Psychology combines the study of human behaviour with practical business applications, giving students the insight and skills to excel in organisational, managerial, and commercial environments. This programme explores how people think, make decisions, and interact within business settings, while developing a strong foundation in strategy, leadership, marketing, and organisational operations.

Students engage in hands-on projects, real-world case studies, and research-driven assignments, applying psychological principles to solve business challenges. The course also fosters essential transferable skills including analytical thinking, problem-solving, effective communication, teamwork, digital literacy, project planning, and adaptability—all of which are highly valued by employers.

Graduates are equipped to pursue careers in human resources, management, marketing, business analysis, consultancy, or entrepreneurial ventures, and are also well-prepared for postgraduate study or professional certifications.

 

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be 18 years or older and meet one of the following criteria:

  • Level 3 qualification, such as A-Levels (at least one pass) or a BTEC National/Extended Diploma in Business or a related subject

  • An Access to Higher Education Certificate from a recognised institution (accepted in place of A-Levels)

  • Other relevant Level 3 qualifications or equivalent international qualifications

All applicants must:

  • Pass an academic interview

  • Demonstrate English language proficiency or complete an English assessment on campus

Mature applicants (21+)

Applicants aged 21 and over may be considered without standard academic qualifications if they can demonstrate:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience

Mature applicants must also:

Assessment of Bachelor programmes is continuous and practical rather than based on a single final exam. Typical assessment methods include:

  • Written reports and essays

  • Class presentations

  • In-class activities and practical tasks

This course is structured around units or modules, where students are assessed as they complete each topic — often through a combination of assignments and project work rather than only exams.
