Case studies and project-based learning show you how tourism businesses actually operate in competitive, multicultural markets.
Sustainability and responsible tourism run through the curriculum, alongside communication, leadership, problem-solving, and digital skills employers look for. In your final year you’ll complete a dissertation or applied project, researching a tourism or business topic in depth before graduating ready for roles across hospitality, travel, and destination management.

Before You Apply
Entry Requirements and How You're Assessed
For the standard 3-year degree, you’ll need 104 UCAS points from any Level 3 subjects, plus five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English and Maths.
Don’t quite meet that? A foundation year is available with just 48 UCAS points, giving you a supportive route into the full degree.
If you’re 21 or older, we can consider your application without standard qualifications, as long as you have 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
Every applicant needs to pass a short academic interview and show a good enough level of English, either through a qualification you already have, an assessment we arrange, or a Duolingo English Test score of 95 or above.
There’s no single make-or-break final exam. You’re assessed continuously, through the kind of work you’d actually do in a job:
- Written reports and essays
- Class presentations
- Project work and case studies
- Group assignments
- Portfolios and reflective journals
- In-class activities and practical tasks
The course is broken into units, so you’re assessed as you complete each one, not by cramming everything into exam season.
